You might be wondering what exactly a “Blue Hole” is. At the end of the ice age, ice melted and sea level rose, filling the caves with water and forming what we know today as blue holes. North Andros Island boasts the highest number of deep blue holes of any other place on the planet. The Andros Blue Holes are tidal freshwater blue holes which are unique in the world and can be found both inland and offshore.  These elusive "blue holes," or underwater cave systems, are a diver's mecca and many are located just a few miles from our home.
